Privacy Policy
MarkSign Panel processes everything on your device. No data is ever sent to any server. No account required.
What the extension does
MarkSign Panel is a Chrome extension that converts the content of the webpage you are currently viewing into Markdown format. The conversion happens entirely within your browser using locally bundled libraries (Turndown.js and Mozilla Readability).
Data we collect
We collect no data whatsoever. Specifically:
- We do not read, store, or transmit your browsing history.
- We do not collect personal information of any kind.
- We do not use analytics, telemetry, or crash reporting.
- We do not set cookies or use any form of tracking.
Permissions used
The extension requests the following Chrome permissions:
- activeTab — to read the HTML of the page you choose to convert. This is only triggered when you click "Convert Page". No other pages are accessed.
- scripting — to extract the page content. The extracted content is processed locally and never leaves your device.
- sidePanel — to display the extension interface in Chrome's side panel.
Third-party services
MarkSign Panel does not connect to any third-party service. All conversion libraries are bundled within the extension and run locally.
Children's privacy
This extension does not collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
Changes to this policy
If the extension's data practices ever change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will reflect that change.
